Strengths:Moves a lot of air. Cheap. Wall mountable.
Weaknesses:Loud. No down tilt.
Posted Jun 15, 2007 - For the price this is a good fan. It moves a good amount of air for the size and comes with a 5 year warranty. However the fan is a bit too loud and it doesnt tilt downward, only upward. If I could do it over again, I would probably buy a quieter fan that is bigger.

Strengths:Moves allot of air
Compact
Looks sharp with the black color
Weaknesses:Can be loud on high setting
Posted Jun 6, 2007 - With summer here the need for a good fan is a must and for the person that doesn't have the room for a large fan this one fits the bill. LNT has these on sale with 20% off so it came through as a no brain-er. Have only had this for a few weeks so how long this thing will work is anybodies guess but for the price it's hard to beat. Stay Cool!

Strengths:Compact but powerful even at lowest speed, can circulate air very well!
Weaknesses:a little bit noisy when working at highest speed, only three speed-settings (high, med and low)
Posted Jun 6, 2007 - I bought this little fan about 2 weeks ago for $10 and I have to say that I was really impressed by it. It's so powerful even at lowest speed and can circulate air very well in my room. It's also very compact and can save you a lot of space when you don't need it.

Loud little fan that works on the tiny area
Strengths:Small, pretty study, can move up from eye-level to top, and relatively strong wind for the size
Weaknesses:loud and very loud. Small children can insert their fingers to the cover -- the cover has moderate gap and the plastic blades are not very deep.
Posted Aug 26, 2007 - This tiny fan works fine in small room and preferably in pretty noisy environment so that the loundness of the fan won't be too obvious. It is very loud in quiet environment. Hardly it would be good in bedroom. There are three fan speeds -- each step I called loud, louder, and loudest. The wind is marginal increasing though. For tiny room such as working near the loud desktop, it works fine. Don't let your child play with it since their fingers will get into the cover.

OK For the price
Strengths:Powerful blowing air
Posted Jul 10, 2007 - Bought this fan to use with treadmill. But it's louder than the treadmill sound. But it's powerful. Bought this fan to use with treadmill. But it's louder than the treadmill sound. But it's powerful.

Strengths:Very powerful for size
Weaknesses:a little on the noisy side
Posted 1 year ago - It gets very hotin my bedroom at night during the summer. I always use this fan every summer to make my room cool enough to be able to sleep. It does a fantastic job at circulating all the air in my room. Even when the fan is down on the floor I can feel it up in my bed. It is a little noisy, but now enough to keep me awake.

small room air mover
Strengths:small size, multi position, can be mounted on a wall
Weaknesses:loud, the multi position wears off, not good for "big rooms"
Posted Aug 25, 2007 - Bought this fan to keep cool during summer. My central air conditioner is programmed to turn fan off when it reaches the temperature setpoint. So although the house feels cool compared to outdoors, if there is no air movement then room temp still feels "warm".
Brought in this fan. It is relatively small, about 11"H x 10"W x 6"Depth, compared to box fan and the pedestal fans. Cable length is about 6 feet. I can put it in the corner of the room and instantly feel the cooling effect of convection on my skin. The instructions say that it can be mounted on a wall, but I have not seen a need for this (although it sits pretty low on the floor if you don't use a bookshelf or the corner of your desk to place it). The fan is all plastic, so I don't trust the material's strength to hold it forever in a wall mounting position. The fan can be rotated from full horizontal to full vertical, giving you "customized" air distribution. I would not use this fan in a large room, but it's perfect for a 12'x12'.
There are a couple of things that don't make it be a perfect fan. The fan is compact, but it is also loud. My guess is that the fan blade is designed to push a lot of air, at the expense of noise. Can't watch a movie without increasing volume quite a bit. The other negative is that the multi position feature I mentioned, is done by stops, not friction. Every time you change a position, you hear a click. My first Honeywell fan was a novelty for my 4 year old, so kept moving full horizontal to full vertical, to the point of wearing the "stops". Now when I put it full horizontal and after a minute of running on high, I can hear it go click-click, I look at it and the fan is pointing a little higher than horizontal. Not a major issue, since that is still a position that circulates air in the room. I learned my lesson and the second fan is out of mi son's reach (it helped that he lost interest in it).
Did I mention I have 3 of these fans. One in studio, one in computer room, and last in spare bedroom. Two of them get good daily use and no problems so far (except as noted above). Great price and meets my needs.

Strengths:speed, power, compactness, up and down adjustments, color, mountable
Weaknesses:bit noisy, not side adjustable
Posted Aug 2, 2007 - Nice little black fan and I use it in my office room for few hours a day. Like the power, good constructed and compactness.
I will recommend for a small room and it has a great value for the price paid.

Strengths:Powerful, portable
Posted Jun 28, 2007 - My apartment does not AC, so I bought this little fan to cool my room down. It has three speed settings and works very good, blowing very strong. It's also light and easy to carry around. My only complaint is that it's a little bit noisy.

Honeywell HT800 Super Tubo Hi Fan
Strengths:Powerful, small foot print
Weaknesses:Loud even on the Low setting
Posted Jun 26, 2007 - For the price, there is really nothing to complain about. It delivers surprisingly good circulation for its size. Build quality is also better than expected. The base is very steady. However, it's on the noisy side even when it's on the LO. Noise level becomes intolerable on HI.

Strengths:* Circulates air beautifully (can feel slight wind current)
* White noise blocks out ambient construction/traffic
* Much cheaper than Vornado
Posted Jun 22, 2007 - I bought this for the summer in my L.A. apartment. We don't have A/C or overhead fans, so this was the next best thing to mounting a window unit. First off, it was priced way below a Vornado, so I wasn't expecting much, but after setting this to high speed and pointing the stream against the opposite wall, I can definitely tell the difference. I work nights, so during the day it usually gets pretty hot, but I have never been woken up by the heat like last summer since having this. I have also had problems staying asleep with nearby construction, but the pleasant hum of the fan has since blocked out everything. It's as if I'm in a wall of cool, white noise and it allows me a very restful day's sleep. So far, I'm very impressed and highly recommend this fan.

Strengths:Well made, Pivot function, 5-year warranty
Posted Jun 7, 2007 - This is a very good fan, if you are looking to save space, and want highly directional air-flow. Also you can mount the fan in any position, and then pivot it 90 degrees. Even the slowest setting is pretty loud. So I would recommend it for the kitchen or the bathroom.

Strengths:Super speed, compact design
Weaknesses:No Oscillations and little noise...
Posted Jun 5, 2007 - This is a great fan for great price. For it's compact size it moves a lot of air. Can be used as exhaust fan. I would highly recommend this fan.

Strengths:Gives a strong flow of air even at the lowest speed; well-built, not flimsy.
Weaknesses:3-speed setting knob goes from OFF, III, II, and I. There is no way to start the fan at medium or low speed without first turning the dial to full-speed, and then to medium or low.
Posted Jun 4, 2007 - I purchased this fan last week, and so far, I'm pretty impressed with the quality and performance. It's sturdy; won't collapse or flip over easily. The shape and size are great; not too small or huge. It can be easily transported and moved from my desk area to the bedside table or placed in front of the window. The 3 tilt positions are useful if you need to place it somewhere on the floor. The air flow is quite strong; enough for me to use this at night (saves space too). Not too noisy either. Overall, I'm happy with it so far, and I think it's well-built and will last a while.
