Decent CD changer, pros and cons
Excellent optical input sound, plays disks smoothly, nice design, decently priced on sale
No on/off button the remote, slow seek time when changing disk to disk, unit feels a bit cheap
Posted Sep 4, 2006 - I got this 5 disk changer at BB because I had reward zone credits. I like the fact that it has the optical digital out. I tried the rca cables and the optical, and makes a huge differnce. I dont like that the remote does have an on/off button. Even if you have your own multi remote, you cant program it. I guess I can live with manually turning it on/off. Out of the box, the CD player plays disks well and can shuffle 1 disk no problem. When I shuffle all disks, the seek time and change time is a bit slow compared to others I've owned. The changer was decently priced around $130 but you can find better. If you want a basic CD changer and optical, this is great. OTherwise, there better one's with more features and faster seek.
