Strengths:

These subs are good for spl or sq. They have awesome bass along with good sound quality, weather you run them as spl or sq.

Weaknesses:

None that I have found.

Posted Dec 5, 2003 - I have had these subs for 3 months now, and i have tryed them as spl and sq. They work great for either, they hit hard, and sound awesome. If you are also looking for a amp to power theses bad boys, go with either an alpine 1507, or an mtx 1501. The alpine amp has a built in fan, and has ther never shut off feature, it doesn't get hot. The mtx is also a good choice, however, the only advantge of the mtx compared to the alpine is that you can get mtx new. Look at getting 2 amps of either, because theses subs take and use power! 1000 watts peak each, and 300 rms.

Strengths:

LOUUUUD BASS if you have a powerful enough amp. REALLY REALLY powerful 10's... i'd say as loud as the 12's. When i go down the street everyone looks. It's like a concert hall inside my car.

Weaknesses:

You need an expensive high power amp to run them. Running these subs off a low power amp is a waste.

Posted Jan 2, 2003 - WOW. I know a guy who is getting 152 db off these... and they're 10's!!! A great buy, well worth the money. They are a great addition to any system. Medium-price subs that are show worthy. Anyone who wants a nice system should go with Alpine type r's.
