Posted May 19, 2003 - This game has great graphics and the stealth manuevers like clinging to walls and hiding in the shadows are a great leap for Activisions Tenchu 3 : Wraith of Heaven. The game is a bit bloody and extremly hard at some parts of the game.

Shallow but Fun

Posted Sep 28, 2006 - Tenchu isn't a blockbuster, hardcore stealth title like Metal Gear Solid or Splinter Cell but it does have its appeal. For one the game is simply fun. I'm not sure if it's the setting and characters (ninjas!) but I found the game to be more interesting than the games mentioned above. You get a wide array of weapons, the sneaking up on enemies is easy and hitting them with a sneak attack serves you a nice, bloody killing sequence. The game has 3 playable characters each with their own story so there's some replay value. Besides that there's also some short co-op missions and a 2 player versus. The negative: The enemy AI is too dumb. They don't do a good job of following you or searching for you. In that way it's forgiving. But if you do get caught by several enemies at once, be prepared to die because it is really hard to fight off the bad guys. The combat system is clunky, slow, and plain horrible.
