All the negative reviews for this merchant are probably "bogus" at best. Ordered gas grill $100+ less than any of the "Big box" stores and it was delivered to my door in 5 days. Overall Rating

I liked their pricing and their delivery. I cannot tell you how happy I am that my grill came. it was delivered 2 days after i ordered it and the customer service was great. They unboxed the unit and even showed me how it works. this is my 2nd purchase with them. Last time I ordered a fridge and I was very happy with them so i gave them another shot. This company has a serious customer service problem. I ordered a grill on 9/4 and received a tracking # via frieght a couple of days later. However, the frieght web site I was directed to had no record of it. I called Rainbow Appliance customer service to find out what is going on and they said it's the freight company's problem and that it usually takes several days for their systems to update. So I waited several days and no change. I had to call back multiple times and everytime the experience was the same: rude customer service, manager never around so person on the phone kept saying I would have to call back since she didn't know what was going on, etc. Then I finally received a 2nd shipping notice with a new tracking # for a different freight company. Bottom line, this company has serious customer service problems... but at least their price was decent, which is the only good thing I can say about them. Overall Rating

Ordered the grill 16 days ago. Merchant had very bad communication despite I repeatedly emailing for status update. Despite website showing in stock, I was told that the grill will be in stock and shipping a week later. Never did ship... I demanded cancellation and have not heard anything back yet. Deceiving availability information and the lack of customer service are very frustrating. Since the order never shipped I can only assume that if issue would arise with the merchandise there will be no customer service either.
Retailer Response (10/12/2009): Your order did in fact ship. But you never received the email tracking# because the email address you gave us was wrong and the email bounced back. We have issued you a full credit but you did not get that confirmation email either because again, the email address you gave us is wrong.

IT WOULD BE A MISTAKE TO ORDER ON LINE FROM THIS COMPANY. On 8-25-09 I ordered a over the range microwave thru their on line internet site. When the order finally arrrived, 9-3-09 the microwave was double boxed and there was no damage to the shipping carton. To my surprise and amazement the microwave in the the inner carton was not in the original factory carton or packing, just some random box. Worst of all, the steel handle had a dent in it. It couldn't have been damaged in shipping so it has to have been shipped to me damaged and not in the factory pack which is supposed to be their policy. After several calls Rainbow had the carton picked up and returned back to them and they credited my master card. I can't believe they would try to pull such a thing, this is business at it's worst.
Retailer Response (10/07/2009): If you look at the manufactures website you will see that due to more recycling and efficiency they will not include any logos or marking on their box. The only markings you will see is a model# and Serial#. Also, the only damage to your product was the Microwave handle that had a little dent. a dent that as you said could have happened in the factory but your box was manufactured sealed so we could have not seen it before we shipped it. But why would we spend the time and money to ship you something that you will return and get a full credit if we knew it was damaged? Damages happen. And you need to understand that any and every company out there has damages to a certain extent. Our damage complaint ratio is under 1% as verified by the Attorney general

THIS STORE IS A SCAM! They charged my credit card, I never received my merchandise and now all their phones numbers are disconnected. Now I have the hassle of dealing with my credit card company to get my money back. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
Retailer Response (09/23/2009): Our phones are not disconnected and never were. Your probably having trouble with your phone provider. We have already issued you a credit on your credit card. Our site says it take 2 - 3 business days to ship. You called us the next day after placing the order questioning us about it not shipping. We are sorry to hear you are not satisfied.

Order was cancelled and I was sent no notification. Called 14 days after placing order to check when it would be shipped. All I got was a rude representative and a was told I would recieve another email confirming cancellation of my order. Still waiting & haven't ever recieved a cancellation notice. Better places to spend my money than with them!!!!!!!!
Retailer Response (09/23/2009): The credit card you used was a stolen credit card. After authorizing it we got a mismatch and were notified via email from your credit card company that we should put the complete order on hold and direct all communications to them. We have done exactly that.

I would not recommend this merchant to anyone; the unit arrived damaged and the customer service representatives have been extremely unhelpful in assisting with the resolution of this problem.
