Anyone who is the least bit familiar with A Flock of Seagulls can determine that it is not the original version of the band that appears on The Best of A Flock of Seagulls, a poorly titled collection of re-recordings released by the Direct Source label in 2006. In fact, it's apparent that the version of the band that laid down most -- if not all -- of these re-recordings is not the same as the one that appears on the cover, either. Even if this disc contained the originals, it would be far too skimpy -- only eight songs and a pair of remixes tacked at the end -- to be recommendable, and the kind of fan who might be interested in this disc will see the title and not give it a second look. ~ Andy Kellman minimize
